Leading London based practice are seeking a Risk and Compliance Lawyer on a full-time, permanent basis. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented lawyer to join our client’s thriving practice located in London. The successful applicant will undertake an array of tasks by closely working with the compliance manager on a broad range of compliance responsibilities. Responsibilities • Preforming due diligence, including adverse media screening • Creating and implementing project plans • Developing and delivering training, including induction training • Attending and presenting at meetings • Maintaining terms of business and client care letters • Drafting and maintaining policies and procedures • Conducting file audits • Complaints handling • Responding to data breaches • Assisting partners and staff with operational issues arising on firm and client matters • Responding to reports of suspicious activity • Deputising for the COLP during periods of absence The Candidate • Solicitors and legal executives with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE • Experience in risk and compliance is essential, ideally gained within a top Legal 500 firm • Knowledge of operational compliance activities associated with AML, GDPR, SRA, and COLP • Knowledge of formal management systems would be advantageous, such as Lexcel and CQS • IT proficient • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task effectively • Strong written and verbal communication skills The Firm Our client is a leading, top-tier firm based in a beautiful and historic Central London location, who offer a wide range of services to the highest level.
