HSE Advisor Sandy, Bedfordshire Job purpose Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will provide the day to day advice on all health, safety and environment issues contained within the integrated management system. You will deploy company policies and procedures to ensure that the division and comply with company requirements and meet their legal objectives and collaborate with the client's health safety and environmental advisors and act as their single point of contact on all health, safety and environmental issues. The ideal candidate will have background in Civil Engineering/Highways or Construction Job Responsibilities: Carry out condition audits and inspections against Health, Safety and Environment standards To promote purpose, vision and values Provide health, safety and environment advice in relation to strategy, policy and procedures to all levels of management. Address health, safety and environment issues via meetings Draft comprehensive documentation to support the IMS Train operational personnel to fulfil their local responsibilities regarding health, safety and environmental management. Liaise with enforcing authorities and other interested parties Assist in incident investigations with operational personnel including incident analysis, identifying root causes To provide support in the development, monitoring and review of appropriate key performance indicators Identify internal customers and agree appropriate service level agreements Support working groups to deliver health, safety and environmental innovation, improvement and share best practice Ensuring all Environment permit's and consent are in place for each depot Job Holder Requirements: Corporate membership of IOSH and/or qualified to NEBOSH Construction Certificate or above, A minimum of two years' related experience as a health, safety and environmental adviser, and A good working knowledge of legislation, guidance and standards relevant to the proposed work As an equal opportunities employer, should you require any reasonable adjustments to be made as part of the application process please contact us directly.
