HSE Officer Suffolk 6 months contract Due to a strong order book , my client are on the look out for a immediate need of a HSE officer. You will report directly into the Health and Safety Manager, ensuring that all operations are compliant with internal procedures and complex regulatory requirements. The H&S Officer will support and advise the business on all aspects of Health and Safety, establishing, managing and monitoring best in class standards. The Role Working on site within a chemical manufacturing site Maintaining Health & Safety procedures and policy in line with the management system. Coach and mentor SHE Champions on site and coordinate SHE meetings. Carry out H&S Induction for new starters and contractors. Coordinate and Chair HSE meetings. The person * NEBOSH qualified (essential) * At least three years working in a similar H&S specific role. * Experience of working within a manufacturing (flexible of which) environment. * Good negotiation and influencing skills, able to build strong relationship with other collegues *A can-do attitude with a pro-active hands-on approach. * Confident with Microsoft Office packages. * The ability to communicate various different issues, whether through email or on the phone
