VAC 272 Animal Feed Process and Compliance Manager Based: East Riding of Yorkshire Salary £35,000 basic. LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of a major bulk feed supplier to the UK and European aquaculture industry. Based in East Riding of Yorkshire, this rapidly expanding business is undergoing major investment into feed process and manufacture. Due to expansion there is now a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager with a high degree of Biochemistry, feed, process operations, compliance, and quality control experience to join this dynamic business. Role: The company trade, bulk ingredients from the UK and overseas and trade Co Products from the manufacturing industry, taking potentially wasted material and reprocessing into ingredients and products. Various mechanical and biological processes are in the process of being built including an Enzyme hydrolysis system to manufacture high free amino feed liquids. You will be involved in the day to day management of quality control measures of incoming and outgoing materials, mixing, and blending, biological and chemical process systems and the full compliance within DEFRA, ABP and Trading standards regulation. You will build in Hygiene systems, apply for ABP licencing, feed certification and ISO certification. Main Duties * Biochemical processing * Quality control of ingredients and processes * Compliance to all required regulations * Apply for and delivery certification for Animal By Products, ISO’s and Hygiene * Testing and sampling protocols * Ingredient and product research * Process controls * Staff management and compliance training Skills Required and preferred * Management experience * Full knowledge of DEFRA and FEMAS regulation including ABP * Feed Hygiene certification * Internal Auditing * Basic Chemistry * Qualified in sampling and testing protocols * HACCP experienced Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
