A global FTSE 250 brand has created a high-profile Controls & Compliance Manager role based in their HQ in central London in the EMEA Finance team. This newly created role will report into the Head of Finance for EMEA who reports to the EMEA CFO for the £2.5Bn turnover EMEA region, and will business partner the country FD/FCs with significant opportunities to drive business and process improvements across this multinational organisation. The Finance team is a valued, high calibre unit that plays a pivotal role in guiding regional performance, driving insight and understanding of the business profitability. The team is multi-cultural and gender-balanced, with a nurturing and rewarding culture, very strong retention rates and evident career progression across the board. The role: The Control and Compliance Manager will have responsibility for firstly developing a regional regime to monitor compliance against the Group Financial Controls (GFC) framework and other key frameworks and then work with the countries to improve their scores. The regional team act as the 'second line of defence' after the country finance teams and identifying areas of potential risk and then conducting detailed reviews in these areas will be key to ensure that we fulfil this brief. This role requires a strong element of co-ordination with 30 country Finance teams and other stakeholders such as Group Internal Audit (GIA) teams. The candidate will need to be highly organised and the ability to prioritise, communicate effectively and work within a large, complex structure is critical to the successful performance of this role. Experience requirements for the Senior FP&A Analyst role: ACA/CA qualified accountant with a top 6 accountancy firm background Industry experience in financial controls or compliance & risk reporting or internal audit, in a large complex structure Attention to detail as well as the ability to be creative and create unique solutions to ensuring compliance across the EMEA businesses Proven ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders is key, with the gravitas to win the respect and confidence of stakeholders up to C-level
