Kind Consultancy is working with a large well established Financial Services business which is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join their Chester offices. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Manager will promote a positive Compliance culture across the organisation, leading and directing the Compliance team to pro-actively ensure the business is compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities of the Compliance Manager will include: * Acting as a Compliance subject matter expert, providing ongoing advice and guidance on Compliance matters * Build strong working relationships throughout the business to maximise compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements * Assist the business in raising operational and service standards by identifying and recommending best practices * Training and developing Compliance Advisory and Regulatory Development staff, providing feedback and support and identifying areas for improvement and training needs * Organising the Compliance Team's response to any regulatory compliance issues * Maintain up to date knowledge of the changing regulatory landscape, monitoring regulatory fines and completing business gap analysis to ensure the business and its clients are not exposed to any weaknesses * Supporting regulatory and operational projects, providing regulatory input and ensuring any risks to the business are mitigated * Assisting in the creation and implementation of Compliance strategies and frameworks for systems, controls, policies, procedures, and reporting. Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Manager opportunity: * Must have in-depth knowledge of FCA, CCA, CONC, MCOB, DPA, COBS, CASS, MiFID II, ISA regulations, FATCA and DISP rules, and guidance * Has experience of training and coaching staff * Has substantial audit and oversight experience * Has a Compliance background including three years or more experience working in a Financial Services regulatory environment * Is supportive, customer-focused and risk-aware * Is able to analyse regulatory requirements against client demands to ensure compliance * Has a track record of assessing business risks and implementing mitigating actions * Has experience of producing Compliance review reports * Can review and interpret regulatory, industry and internal standards * Being CeMAP and/or IOC qualified would be highly desirable If you're interested in the Compliance Manager opportunity, you live in a commutable distance of Chester, and you have the skills and experience we need, please apply with an up-to-date CV today
