Health, Safety and Environmental Business Partner / HSE Liverpool Full Time Permanent £37,998 per annum Our client is an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in their three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. One of the largest landlords in the North West, they have 1,500 staff, manage more than 40,000 homes, support almost 75,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes. A social organisation with a commercial focus generating income to drive our activities and deliver lasting change, our client is a landlord, property developer, commercial contractor and social entrepreneur. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental Business Partner to provide general and specialist advice, supporting and information across the organisation. This role is key to supporting the development, implementation and continual monitoring of health, safety and environmental management systems so they need someone who is passionate about health and safety and can hit the ground running. Within this role you’ll be responsible for: * Assisting in all aspects of health and safety requirements across the organisation * Ensuring that the organisation is legally compliant and bring any deficiencies to the attention of responsible persons * Providing support, advice, information, instruction and training to ensure all obligations and best practices are met * Carrying out inspections, audits and assessments across all group locations, work streams and work activities * Assisting in maintaining, development and implementing the HSE management system * Reviewing and testing emergency plans To be successful in this role you will: * Be NEBOSH qualified with a CSCS card and an internal auditor qualification * Have evidence of continuing professional development in line with IOSH / professional organisational structure * Have an understanding of the main health, safety and environmental controls and of the hazards, risks and controls relating to construction and housing * Have experience of carrying out audits and inspections * Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of OHSAS:45001 and ISO:14001 certification standards * Be passionate, committed and self-motivated to inspire change in others * Have a full driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes Our client’s people share qualities they value highly.
