We are currently working with a thriving manufacturer who are looking to appoint a new Quality Health & Safety Manager to the team. This position would suit someone who is comfortable setting targets and plans to both maintain standards and achieve new standards. What will your day to day activities as Quality Health & Safety Manager involve? The role, based locally to Kingswinford site responsible for the following: Health And Safety * Prepare and develop Risk Assessments * Conduct Health and Safety Audits both internal and external * Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy in conjunction with the Directors and the companies health and Safety consultant * Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry; advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases Quality * Verify that quality standards are understood and achieved. * Carry out auditing activities on the Company’s procedures, continually reviewing all procedures and activities for improvements * Co-ordinate the management of the Company’s accredited approvals, ISO 9001 Quality Management scheme. * Ascertain and introduce modifications to the Company’s operating procedures and activities in line with audit recommendations and standard amendments Product / Process Quality * Develop Quality related documentation to detail process quality requirements * Conduct final quality audits as and when required * Visiting customers to discuss and assist in any related quality aspects * Visiting and advising suppliers of the required quality standards, continually seeking improvements / alternative materials / services * Prepare and develop Quality Plans What's on offer/benefits? * A competitive and negotiable salary. * Permanent opportunity. * Friendly, approachable team and management. * Works pension and healthcare scheme are provided Please press apply now to submit your application for this position.
