You will be a member of the Zzoomm HSEQ Team, providing support to the Head of HSEQ covering all aspects of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality in all of our activities, from Civils Engineering and Fibre Installations in the Field to the Support functions based at Regional Offices and Depots. Your role will be acting as an Educator/Coach and Compliance Monitor in equal measure. We want to create a culture that has HSEQ awareness embedded in everything we do and you will be an important player in helping us achieve that. Who will guide me ..? The Head of HSEQ will guide you and the Regional Director will provide you with direction on a day to day basis. You will be given the opportunity to contribute to the planning of HSEQ activities in the Region, with a variety of topics to be covered to ensure that all of our staff are fully engaged with the HSEQ agenda. A day in the life of the Regional HSEQ Officer .. * You will support the HSEQ agenda for the Region in line with Corporate policies. * You will be working with the Head of HSEQ and your Regional Director to build a robust HSEQ culture in the Region. * You will carry out reviews and inspections to identify opportunities to improve HSEQ performance. * You will produce reports on Regional HSEQ performance * You will also help identify what training is required to build a strong HSEQ culture across the Zzoomm operation in your region. * You will work with Local Authority bodies and the HSE as required to maintain HSEQ compliance, including ensuring that CDM requirements are met in relation to our civils construction activities. What we need you to have .. * Recognised HSE qualifications/accreditations e.g. NEEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health and Safety qualification,NVQ level4/5 Occupational Safety and Health Practice,IMEA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) etc. * Experience of managing HSE in Civils Construction (preferably including Highways excavation), Warehousing, Field Operations and Office workers * Knowledge of current HSE regulatory requirements and best practices and a keen interest in updating this knowledge as new legislation is applied or changes are made to current regulations or guidelines * Experience in telecoms or utilities would be a definite help You’ll know how to .. * Work with individuals and teams to embed HSEQ thinking into everything they do * Apply the CDM regulations to Fibre Optic Network Construction activities * Comply with HSE reporting requirements for incidents and near misses * Keep up to date with new HSEQ legislation Our teams will say you’re .. * An HSEQ go -to person, very, very knowledgeable * Supportive and constructive, even when things have gone wrong * Professional, quick and responsive * Open and collaborative * Clear and concise communicator Zzoomm was founded by Matthew Hare, Chief Executive, in December 2018, to bring full fibre to homes and businesses across the UK.
