Software Compliance Team Leader Would you like to play a key role in Software Asset Management (SAM) in one of the UK's leading defence companies? We currently have a vacancy for a Software Compliance Team Leader at our site in Preston - The Strand or Farnborough. As a Software Compliance Team Leader, you will be managing the software compliance team to ensure accurate collation and analysis of data for compliancy reporting. You will also be working with our customers to provide trend analysis and recommendations for strategic decision making. The role will involve many business as usual activities such as: pro-active compliance management; meeting service desk SLA's; maintaining up to date knowledge of software licensing and usage legislation and providing excellent customer service, but due to team structure changing there will be opportunity to be involved with continuous improvement activities across this small but busy team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders as well as giving you exposure to senior leadership. This could lead to further opportunities within the team or within the wider BAE Systems Business. Your main responsibilities as a Software Compliance Team Leader will involve: Responsibility for BAU operational SAM activities Processing catalogue requests, and subsequent software procurement requirements Producing compliancy reports and scorecards Leading customer SAM workshops Managing resolution of compliance issues in conjunction with the business groups Managing the software re-harvesting process Monitoring and reporting SAM obsolescence Processing customer queries Managing the Definitive Software Library (DSL) for software install media Managing new starter/leaver requirements and software re-harvesting Managing application rationalisation Financial management Audit activity responsibility Your skills and qualifications: Essential: Demonstrable SAM experience and/or CSAM certification Experience managing software licensing across multiple platforms at an enterprise level Experience of top tier software publishers Knowledge of software asset lifecycle Understanding of ITAM and SAM asset management processes Knowledge of the complexities of license contract terms and software license types Demonstrable track record of infrastructure knowledge, particularly virtualised Experience of Software Asset Management toolsets Desirable: Experience of team management, mentoring and development ITIL V3 Qualification Experience with Scalable Asset Vision Location: Preston - The Strand or Farnborough Salary: Up to £45,000 dependent on skills and experience Benefits: Our employees receive an excellent benefits package which includes a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
