A sub-contractor who specialise in high quality painting and decorating for high end projects are searching for a HSEQ Advisor to join the growing team. The Role The HSEQ Advisor will assist the Group HSEQ Manager in implementing and maintaining policies, strategies and best practice to ensure that the company, its clients and the supply chain are working in a safe and healthy manner with no adverse effect on the environment, and meeting all safety, health, environmental and quality compliance obligations Key Objectives To assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HSEQ management system. To take a lead and be a role model in educating staff in the importance and operation of the HSEQ Management System. To assist the company in understanding its legal duties in relation to HSEQ, and to help maintain and enforce processes that ensure compliance. To advise and support the directors, staff, clients, and supply chain members in all aspects of HSEQ. Monitor and review HSEQ performance, report findings to the Group HSEQ Manager. To maintain required Documented Information in a structured, systematic, and logical way.Organisational To assist in the development and implementation of company HSEQ processes and ensure they meet the needs of the business and are applied consistently. To lead on and take responsibility for specific HSEQ projects agreed with the Group HSEQ Manager. Assist with ensuring that changes to legislation, approved codes of practice, and other HSEQ guidance are identified, communicated, and implemented in an affective and timely manner. Maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies and local stakeholders as needed, in particular the HSE, Local Authorities and Environment Agency. Undertake and support incident investigations to determine root and underlying causes and provide recommendations for prevention of reoccurrence. Undertake management system audits and workplace inspections and advise on immediate and long-term actions for continuous improvement.Operational Advise project teams on hazard analysis and development of risk control plans and strategies. Carry out periodic Site Inspections and complete reports on compliance, including recording instances of non-conformity with company systems and legal or other obligations. Support managers to maintain safe systems of work and implement best practice, including providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support as needed. Advise managers and other staff to ensure works at sites and offices are planned and executed safely. Advise on shortfalls against acceptable HSEQ standards and best practice.The Company The HSEQ Advisor will join a growing organisation who carry out high end projects for prestigious clients, such as the Royal Household, MOD and English heritage sites. They provide their services to range of public, private and main contractors across London and the South East. The Person The successful HSEQ Advisor will have: NEBOSH General/ Construction or equivalent Multi-site experience Strong experience with ISO standards 9001, 14001 and 45001 The ability to influence people at all levels, a strong personality who can work alongside site managers.
