Our client a supported housing provider are looking to appoint and Compliance and Asset Manager to work on Housing Related Supported accommodation, shared housing and general needs. This is a newly created role and will give you the opportunity to shape the post. Initially Fixed term 12-month contract/ However full time with an option to extend or to make a full time appointment. * Working week 37.5 hours Monday to Friday * Salary range - £33,702 to £37,741, 28 days Holiday , 8% Pension contribution. Overall role objective: * Act as the single point of contact for all risk and compliance matters, making appropriate recommendations to the CEO, management team and trustee board. * Provide proactive, specialist risk and compliance advice and practical application as required to assist achieve 100% compliance on all regulatory and statutory requirements in relation to asset management * Provide general all-round support in the management of compliance works, repairs or remedial works* please note you are managing compliance , this isn't a people management role. 2. Main duties and responsibilities: Support the operational and administrative staff in relation to compliance matters. Keep appraised of standard terms/clauses/specifications and take account of new legislation industry practice and innovation. Ensure any central records, property files & databases are up to date and contain accurate data for planning, reporting scenario modelling and can be accessed in line with the duty to manage (Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations). Provide timely and accurate data on compliance status and actions required. Develop a management system. Manage the financial resources and be accountable for expenditure for any compliance related works, repairs and maintenance. Conduct an audit of existing records & properties advise and make recommendations on health and safety issues concerning gas safety, electrical inspections, asbestos, fire, legionella and fire risk assessments Make preparations for the completion of a stock condition survey 3. Education and Formal Qualifications: Minimum level HNC/HND in Building Surveying or Building Studies / Construction or equivalent. NEBOSH Construction Site Safety Certificate or equivalent. (DESIRABLE) P402/403 qualification.(DESIRABLE) 4. Work Experience/Background: Relevant experience in a similar role including managing Building Safety Standards Must have experience in dealing with staff at a range of levels. People and contractor management experience.
