Role: QHSE Director Location: Aalst, Belgium Primary Role Purpose: Lead and Mentor local QHSE teams within the transport business units of the Group by setting the guiding principles and standards. Holding local teams responsible for adherence to same. Ensuring local regulatory obligations are met and there is a consistent quality standard across our group. Overview of some key areas of responsibilities: * Set up the "Quality System", building on existing systems, policies and connecting to the overall Group Quality System/Architect roadmap * Establish a single Vehicle Qualification protocol for the Group. * Collate all existing qualifications that pertain to QHSE and ensure all territories are adhering to same and part of said qualifications * Working with the other teams for the technical definition of new vehicles * Establish a unified Metrology protocol (equipment / methods) for the Group * Audit all national quality departments within Transport and support cross division audit where require * Monitoring the implementation of corrective measures * Attend and present the quality agenda in collaboration with commercial leads when liaising with strategic clients * Elaborate the Business Continuity Plan with local entities * In partnership with colleagues within the Group, devise and develop/select a software validation plan for quality validation purposes * Functional responsibility for Company Quality * Own & improve QMS framework * Set guidelines for 3rd party supplier approval program incl. minimum standards * Indirect management of local quality leads * Member of the Quality Community Leadership Team and of the Group and as such will be considered a Key Opinion Leader within the function Desired Qualifications/Experience: * Relevant third level Degree/Qualification * 10 years post qualification experience, 5 of which must be at leadership/management level working within Transportation/Logistics Environment * Working knowledge of 3rd party supplier validation across not only road transport but air/ocean freight also would be an advantage. * Comfortable and at ease with operating within the world of transport and vehicle technology * Pragmatic, Acts with pace, continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead people and bring on journey with straight talking approach * Must be business fluent in English and working understanding of French and/or German is ideal * Experience within Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Distribution is ideal Benefits: A competitive package is on offer Keywords: distribution, transport, logistics, quality, qhse, environmental, qms, director, pharma, pharmaceutical, healthcare, med dev, medical devices
