Key Responsibilities Provide support and guidance in the development of HSE training requirements by assessment the needs for individuals and the organisation.  Carry out HSE induction training for new associates including temporary associates and contractors Carry out DSE assessments for all new Associates, advise train and document recommendations. for Associates and make recommendations as appropriate. Develop and role out toolbox talk program for use across the business and train Line Managers in the delivery of toolbox talks and on the job training. Development and delivery of Health Safety & Environmental training courses to ensure compliance i.e. risk assessment, fire marshall training Liaise with Line Managers and write and co-ordinate and effective toolbox talk program to include all content and delivery plans Train line managers in effective risk assessment and ensure associates training needs arising from risk assessments are considered and actioned appropriately. Assist line managers with implementation of H&S training plans through training needs analysis Coordinate and deliver ongoing assessment regime to monitor and evidence competence in Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Assist the Learning & Development Business Partner in the development and continuous improvement of training courses, programmes, and processes. Work in partnership with line managers to ensure all Associates are fully trained to meet the requirements of their role, and competencies are refreshed and maintained. Coordinate with key stakeholders i.e. HR, Health & Safety, Quality, and Business Departments, to ensure compliance with both regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Contribute to health safety & environmental audits and reviews as required (external). Undertake internal health safety & environmental audits in line with plan and formulate action plan from audits. Act as internal coach, champion and role model for Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures. General H&S Training administration Any other duties as instructed by the HSE Manager Knowledge and Expertise Previous experience in delivering both practical and classroom based training Operational experience in a Manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation; Proven track record in creating and delivering work-based training and assessment Highly computer literate eg Excel/Word and PowerPoint Experience working in a highly regulated industry Previous experience of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO13485 Characteristics Forward thinking; excellent planning skills with the ability to anticipate potential obstacles Highly self-motivated/self starter/resilient Strong communication skills (written and oral) Diligent with excellent attention to detail Excellent organisation and administrative skills Flexible approach  The role will support internal and external audit processes and assist the HSE Advisor in the operational delivery and communication of Health Safety and Environmental campaigns and to contribute to the development of health and safety risk controls and the maintenance of the health and safety management system. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexitime) Closing date:  2nd April 2021
