One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Compliance Supervisor – Band C. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance. Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary * The post holder will be responsible for the day to day supervision of staff, compliance in achieving cleaning performance standards in line with the output specification. * Ensure safe working practices in accordance with health and safety requirements, promote and maintain effective customer relations. Job Duties * To supervise and direct cleaning operatives employed on site, allocate tasks on a daily basis in line with the contract specification. * To liaise with Academy staff representatives to ensure an effective/efficient service delivery. * Ensure compliance to achieve cleaning performance standards in line with the contract specification * To react to emergency situations involving cleaning/housekeeping to ensure the continual maintenance of a safe and hygienic environment for customers. * To understand the role of the service in meeting the differing needs and expectations of the range of customers. * To co-ordinate leave, certify timesheets and report any problems affecting the team’s ability to clean through the appropriate channels. * To carry out basic induction/training of new staff. * To complete any relevant paperwork such as timesheets, stores orders, recess sheets. * To monitor supply and usage of cleaning materials. * Maintain record of relief staff and contact them where necessary acting in co-operation with the Facilities Services Officer. * Ensure safe working practices are adopted and staff operate in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
