Technical Compliance Officer Location- Nation wide (north) Main duties Responsible for supporting the management of high risk and complex PPM activities delivered by Interserve engineering teams and specialist sub-contractors/service providers. Key duties, though not exhaustive, are listed below. This is a mobile role that will require travel to various sites within the region. due to this you will be provided with a company vehicle. Provide Technical support to Operational Supervisors, Regional Operations and and Service Desk etc. within their region and contractually where relevant to their field of expertise. AP Duties including issuing of Permits to Work, maintaining all associated documents in the AP document centre Managing ISS-07 Policies and Safety Rules for their region Compliance Support to their region Competency check on skilled persons for High Risk systems in their region, updating records as necessary Investigations into breach of procedures / incidents involving installations and plant etc. Act as SME dependant on their qualifications, experience etc. Compile list of safety equipment, i.e. safety locks & chains, and tools issued, carry out checks ensure maintained as required. Liaise with Projects Teams (AWT) to ensure all documentation received at handover are correct and update systems as necessary to match Providing backup AP cover across regions Attend AE Audits and follow up and aid the site in the completion of action plans as necessary Management of all HV & LV Distribution Systems - Operation & Maintenance utilising in house & contractor resources Carry out Authorised Person related PPM tasks. Ensuring accurate schematics and network records (where available) are managed in line with statutory requirements Support the Continuous Improvement (CI) programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development Supporting specification for all HV/LV maintenance & installation works in cooperation with the operations, Projects (AWT) and commercial teams Provide support in developing hard FM operational processes and procedures. Provide support in review of high risk and complex systems covered by relevant Authorised Person disciplines Undertake quality audit of works in progress and completed Liaise, audit and manage both the supply chain and workforce, to ensure contract and company compliance standards adhered to Continuous review and assessment of supply chain partners to meet service needs Contribute to the Forward Maintenance register programme including asset management and warranty control Manage and undertake where appropriate CP,AP and AE registers and associated activities Support other areas of the business to ensure contract delivery. May include additional travel and staying away during the working week. Person Specification * Experience in a similar role with a proven track record in the effective management of planned programme of works and reactive works co-ordinating multi skilled work groups * Excellent people management skills while able to manage sub-contractors and supply chain * Both commercially and financially aware * Fully conversant with current H&S legislation and process management systems * Understanding of asset management information systems together with remote monitoring integrated technology * Experience in the supervision of labour across diverse facilities within a multi-site portfolio * Previous experience working for public service sector client * Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH * Qualified electrical and/or mechanical engineer ( BS7671 qualified, City & Guilds engr, ONC, building services, etc.) or equivalent * Previous AP qualifications a distinct advantage * IT literate in MS Office * Sets and maintains very high standards of delivery – attention to detail essential * Effectively manages staff performance, provides regular and constructive feedback * Driven to complete tasks above expectations * Diligent, professional and intuitive * High degree of self-motivation and dedication to achieving excellence * Able to interpret contract detail and implement requirements * Writing and following risk and method statements as required on a daily basis * Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance. * Must hold a full UK drivers license * Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems * Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team * Experience of working within a customer focused environment * Wanting to achieve success, for his or her self, the business and the customer * Flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive) * Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company, in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued * Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments * HSE management in accordance with our (Interserve) Quality Management System and all legal and statutory requirements * Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner
