Our Payments team has built a reputation as a market leading provider of compliance services to firms that provide payment services and issue e-money. Our award-winning team is led by ex-regulators with credible and diverse experience that cover a range of sectors including Payment Services, E-money and Cryptoassets. THE ROLE With the increase in regulatory activity and a demand for our services, our Payments practice is looking to expand. We are in search of an experienced commercially driven and technical Payments Consultant to join our highly regarded team. You will have already gained substantial experience of working within the payment services/e-money ecosystem. The role will involve: · Supporting clients with development and delivery of FCA applications · Proactively undertaking account management activities, building trust and cementing client relationships · Managing a number of day-to-day relationships across our client portfolio · Creating bespoke client documents and undertaking projects such as advising on policies and processes, due diligence/gap analysis, compliance reviews, assurance reviews · Compiling regular sector ‘thought leadership’ articles and producing regulatory updates · Helping to build, maintain and evolve service offerings, supporting business development opportunities by identifying regulatory or regtech solutions · Demonstrating willingness to mentor and coach members of the team · Exemplifying the firm’s values in what you do and say and in particular ensure quality in everything you do both individually and as a team WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Applicants must have: · At least 2 years compliance experience, ideally gained from a payments firm, regulator or consultancy · A detailed and up to date understanding of UK payments legislation and relevant FCA guidance, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical and commercial way · You will have developed or are keen to develop your field-based consulting skills and have a natural flair to establish and develop long-lasting face-to-face client relationships and advise on best practice. · Clear and demonstrable communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and manage projects · Evidence of effective stakeholder management / client engagement building credible relationships · A track record of strong delivery against objectives, ensuring quality standards are met · Experience of leading meetings and dealing effectively with senior management WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT · High levels of empowerment with the opportunity to make a real difference to our firm and our clients · An enviable client base and exposure to varied and challenging projects in a supportive environment · A diverse and inclusive team that set high standards, pull together to make it happen and never settle for the status quo · A challenging, stimulating ‘can do’ business environment with scope to build and drive your career · A competitive salary with a range of other benefits including health care, health cash plans, pension, access to our staff benefits discount platform and generous annual leave to name some!
