Compliance Engineer required in Knaresborough, near Harrogate / Leeds, North Yorkshire.  We are proud to represent Pelsis Pest Control group. Business acquisitions have led to Pelsis having an increasingly large and diverse range of global products, which in turn have a range of differing compliance needs. This role is to assist the Group Compliance Engineer in ensuring the business efficiently manages compliance of new and legacy products, and to maintain product compliance in all product sectors as it grows. This role may require occasional travel to other Group sites in the UK, Europe and the US. The focus of this role is on all aspects of product compliance and management across a diverse range of electrical and mechanical products across the group. The Compliance Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of processes and activities required to ensure all new products on sale by the Pelsis group comply with the latest regulations, now and in the future.  They will support business practices ensuring products meet legal and best practice requirements for the markets they service, reducing risk and protecting the Pelsis brands.  In addition, the CE will assist in the management of legacy products. This role will assist in the harmonisation of processes and reporting across the group, identifying and supporting the implementation of systems that improve accuracy and efficiency across Compliance Management, Product Data and Quality Management. The role includes: Effectively managing product data, critical for compliance and associated functions Maintaining an assessment of live product portfolios with respect to current standards and legislation of relevant markets Providing cross-functional guidance to assure new and existing products, components, and materials comply with pertinent regulations worldwide (Safety, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, etc.) The ability to act as the liaison between product engineers/ manufacturers and test labs as required Providing support in the development of product, packaging, product instruction and label artwork  Ensuring communication of latest compliance status is maintained throughout the project lifecycle Supporting continual improvement of compliance delivery with regard to time, cost and quality Completing mandatory reporting including WEEE and Pack Waste The Candidate: Higher level qualification in Technical / Quality subject or equivalent 2+ years of experience in product conformity / testing related role Knowledge of the application of CE, Low Voltage Directive, EMC, ROHS, REACH, WEEE Capable of facilitating work with third parties to deliver testing, services etc. Ability to take ownership of product compliance record keeping and maintenance of technical files Self-motivated, agile and positive attitude Organised and detail oriented with excellent planning skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, interfacing and ability to present effectively. Ability to work to deadlines, delivering on time whilst also responding to ad-hoc opportunities Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams across the Group Competent in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Desirable: Experience of providing support to new product development projects Knowledge of UL/ NRTL experience This is an oustanding opportunity to join a developing, growing business, as part of a well resourced global technical team, offering competitive salary, benefits and future prospects
