We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and experienced HSE Advisor to be based all across Cumbria. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development of a positive culture in delivery of HSE throughout all areas of our operations, together with supporting management implementing processes and procedures that deliver our overall corporate objectives. Day to day tasks are as follows (but not limited to): Health & Safety Inspections / Audits: * Conduct health and safety audits, risk assessments and workplace inspections recommending remedial actions where necessary. * Ensure any actions arising from audits, risk assessments or inspections are closed out. * Manage and coordinate Safety Committees for Region. Quality: * Review, implement and manage the Company Procedures, Processes and Policies to suit business needs. * Prepare plan for completion of quality audits on all processes. * Conduct quality audits on all processes recommending remedial actions as necessary. * Ensure any actions arising from quality audits are closed out. Compliance with Legislation: * Advise on the interpretation and implementation of the Company Policies and Procedures. * Proactively review new legislative documents and incorporate into safety management system. * Act as liaison with all accreditation bodies. Employee Welfare: * Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture within the company. * Ensure employees work in safe conditions and that exposure to hazards is reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable. * Ensure there are facilities and arrangements in place for employee welfare at work. * Ensure arrangements are in place for safe use of equipment and substances. * Investigate all accidents and incidents, identify root cause and recommend appropriate remedial actions where required. Training: * Develop and deliver training sessions relating to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Candidate Requirements: * Proven experience working in a similar role; * Nebosh General Certificate (or working towards) * Excellent interpersonal and empathetic skills; * A demonstrated commitment to high professional, inclusive and ethical standards; * Persuasive with details and facts and solutions; * Excels working in a diverse and fast pace environment; * A flexible approach to work; * At least three to five years’ experience in Telecommunication industry; * Evidence of influencing and high-level communication skills both verbal and written reports; * Experience of handling sensitive and difficult people situations; * Ability to show analytical and problem-solving capabilities ; * Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook etc
