The Role: HSEQ Manager – Health & Safety Manager – Waste Management – Waste Location: London Salary: £35k - £40k + benefits The Company Our client is an innovator in the environmental sector who have an opportunity to join them as HSEQ Manager for a state of the art waste recycling facility. This is a pivotal role in continuing the safety first culture for the wider group. The Role * As HSEQ Manager for the company you will lead on ensuring a Safety-First Culture is embedded, understood and delivered. * You will be the company’s figure head with regards to H&S, quality and environmental issues and help achieve and maintain quality accreditations for ISO. * You will ensure periodic audits are scheduled to ensure ongoing compliance. * Maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it including all procedures, processes, safe systems of work, offering support and advice on Risk Assessments, Method statements and COSHH. * Manage, maintain and report on all company’s Environmental functions, Policies and Measures. The Ideal Candidate * The ideal candidate will be experienced in HSEQ ideally within the waste management industry, experience working with recycling processing sites such as MRF, or SRF operations would be advantageous, however construction, manufacturing, logistics sectors would also be of interest. * This role would suit an individual who has experience in implementing H&S process and culture in an operational business setting. * The ideal candidate will ideally have knowledge of sound HR practices gained through practical experience or qualifications * The successful candidate will have IOSH and ideally NEBOSH * It would be advantageous to have COTC Waste Management qualification * Excellent written and verbal communication skills . * Excellent IT skills required
