The company:  James Fisher Strainstall (JF Strainstall) is a world leader in the development of innovative monitoring solutions to enhance the safety and performance of your assets.  Drawing on more than 50 years’ experience, we develop and apply our innovative technology,  including load, strain and stress measuring techniques, within a wide range of sectors including marine, offshore, civil engineering, rail and aerospace.  Strainstall specialise in the design and manufacture of standard and bespoke load cells, strain gauges and integrated systems which are proven to perform year on year in hostile and hazardous environments.  Whether a project is large or small, we provide a range of services including hull stress monitoring, crane weighing and overload, tendon and riser tension monitoring in TLPs.  The role:  To take responsibility for leading all aspects of developing, implementing and maintaining agreed QHSE operating standards and controls across the business. Based at the Cowes site but The role also advises and reports on the 5 other sites of Strainstall (2 UK and 3 world wide).  The QHSE Manager will not only ensure total compliance but be pivotal in embedding a Quality Focused mindset across the business, and driving practical performance improvements from the Quality Management System.  Monitor and ensure that all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation is complied with and ensure a safe working environment for all team members within a busy manufacturing and service environment. Embed and develop the 9001:2015 QMS. Develop and maintain systems and processes to meet changing business requirements. Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE Standards and the relevance to business objectives. Provide monthly reporting on QHSE KPIs. Lead the day-to-day QHSE operations including auditing, meetings, training and updating documents and records for all aspects of the business and systems. Manage, evaluate and analyze product and process Non-Conformances, introducing and publishing the practical corrective and preventive actions business-wide. Responsible for Health and Safety across all sites, providing trend reports on a monthly basis. In conjunction with Customer Services, manage customer complaints, ensuring the complaint is well documented, answered, and resolutions learnt with fed back to the customer in a timely fashion. Liaise with senior management and staff to ensure continued QHSE integration into core operations.
