Risk & Compliance Manager - Manchester (With Travel) DWF LAW LLP is seeking to recruit an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to work in the Business Excellence / Risk Management & Excellence team in our Manchester office. As a Risk and Compliance Manager you will oversee the development, management and maintenance of a Risk-based Compliance Audit Programme, providing the DWF Group with a robust compliance audit service. Working collaboratively to support the Lead Compliance Auditor and Compliance Auditors to ensure independent firm wide compliance audits, in line with agreed audit programmes, are conducted and monitored, and that any necessary actions required, to improve service, are undertaken. This role will monitor compliance across the business and analyse/report statistics, reviewing any risk issues and opportunities for improvement. The Risk and Compliance Manager will work closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance to support the business in identification of risk and to adhere to the risk governance structure as well as integrating the Excellence ethos and working practices into DWF to enable the achievement of its strategic goals. Proven track record in designing and conducting independent compliance audits across a range of procedures, processes, regulatory standards and quality management systems in an objective manner ensuring a comprehensive and thorough approach is undertaken. 2. Demonstrable experience of working within a risk governance framework. 3. Excellent communication and influencing skills and a proven track record in building strong and successful relationships with stakeholders at all levels within a business. 4. Well organised individual with a keen eye for detail, the ability to prioritise own and team workload and an understanding of effective delegation. 5. A self-developer who ensures that they maintain an awareness of external trends in Business Excellence to ensure DWF adopts a best practice approach. You will have the opportunity to work within a dedicated team where you will… * Oversee the development, management and maintenance of a Risk-based Firm-wide Compliance Audit Programme including the regular reassessment of risk and in relation to all Divisions of the DWF Group and all Quality Management Systems. * Supervise, instruct and train where necessary, the Lead and Compliance Auditors, and to manage their work allocation. * Work with the Risk and Compliance Team, Regulatory team/managers, to generate greater dialogue to understand and address key issues and track special measures through to completion. * Manage the ISO 9001: 2015 external assessment process.
