The Role Reporting into Director the Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring business compliance according to Trade regulations. Also responsible for: The tactical compliance management of all import and export issues Custom issues are robust, fit for purpose, correctly implemented and adhered to across all business sites Any legislation requirements regarding finished products, transfer of technology Support exports and any issues including licences Liaise with international trade exports authorities on behalf of the business Point of contact for customers regarding any compliance related queries Update and design new processes for all regulatory and compliance minimising shipment delays Deliver trade and compliance training through the business Implement corrective actions Participate in internal audits Responsible for UK trade compliance projects Ensure accuracy information used for import and export customs declaration The Person The Trade Compliance Lead based in the Birmingham area will need the following experience: ESSENTIAL Experience of export and customs compliance Experience in ITAR, UKML, dual-use trade and Export Admin Regulation licences Working with a large-scale importer/exporter of goods Broad understanding of business methods such as working with Manufacturing & Quality Experience of working with suppliers Task focussed Experience working with company procedures Excellent communication skills both oral and written Strong leadership skills Ability to work in cross functional team Strong influencing skills Self starter DESIRABLE Project management experience is desirable SAP experien Staff training experience University degree (ideally in engineering or business) IT literacy The Company Our client is a leading Aerospace global Manufacturer with a market leading product and subject matter expert.
