Job Title : Pipeline Control Centre Supervisor Location: Reading (Must be located within 40 miles of site) My client is looking to add a Pipeline Control Centre Supervisor to their site in Reading, they currently manage the main fuel pipeline and storage facility network across the UK and have pipelines feeding in to the UK’s major airports and refineries. Objective: Support the Pipeline Operations Manager to deliver the effective operation of the pipeline network, Liaising with the scheduling, stock accounting and wider O&M teams organise, plan and manage the safe and effective delivery of product through the pipeline network to meet customer demands and requirements, Manage the safe and effective operation of a 24/7/365 pipeline Control Centre compliant with good working practices and company procedures, Collate, provide and input information necessary to manage weekly and monthly system stock throughput and accounting processes, Be a key contributor and point of contact for SCADA and pipeline leak detection system operations and improvement projects and ensure seamless and timely implementation of any work with minimum impact on system operability and safety. Education and experience: Essential HNC/HND in chemical, mechanical,  electrical or other relevant discipline Driving licence Good math and English skills Experience of working in high hazard environments Considerable supervisory and work systems administration experience Experience of dealing with the Competent Authority Knowledge of COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) Regulations Knowledge of PSR (Pipeline Safety Regs) Dealing with the Competent Authority SCADA or DCS control system operations Ability to use Excel to build, publish and keep up to date bespoke management reports Good Problem Solving Skills with minimal support Detailed Knowledge of procedure writing including the ability to undertake detailed hierarchical task analysis Production of task specific Risk Assessments Good budget/financial management skills Desirable Degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical discipline NVQ level 3 Petroleum Control Operations MS Office Qualifications in Word and Excel Experience in working within pipeline logistics O&M position in Oil and Gas Ability to work with and analysis large volumes of numerical data Commercial awareness Scantec Personnel Limited is acting as an employment business and an employment agency.
