The HSEQ Superintendent supports Operations and is responsible for HSEQ matters together with supporting the implementation and application of security policies to ensure effective use of the Marine Management System (“the Management System”). The position holder also acts as the Company Security Officer and the Regional Deputy DPA. Major Responsibilities * Treat health, safety , security and environment as top priority * Monitor compliance with all agreed external management system standards (i.e., ISM Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001). * Perform the role and responsibility of CSO (Refer to OR0115 Security Responsibilities) * Perform the role and responsibility of Deputy DPA (Designated Person Ashore) * Drive operational leadership in relevant HSEQ matters. * Support and liaise with HSEQ Manager on global issues and initiatives. * Support day to day processes of the vessel and Ops team. Requirements (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities) * Good knowledge in International Maritime Regulations, statutory requirements, Maritime Safety and Security Code (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS Code). * Good knowledge and experience in marine industry HSEQ practices, marine incident investigation and auditing. * Requires Certificate of Competency at Class 2 Unlimited or equivalent relevant degree as a minimum. * Requires certificate as Company Security Officer. * Requires Certificate in Marine Incident Investigation. * Sea going experience as Officer on oil tanker / gas tanker * Analytical, problem solving, time management and decision making skills. * Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner, and to represent our client effectively in external forum. * Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills
