The Role Reporting into Trade Compliance Manager, the Trade Compliance Lead will be responsible for a variety of activities according to Trade regulations. Also responsible for: All import and export compliance, control laws, regulations etc Subject matter expert and point of contact for Trade Compliance enquiries The tactical compliance management of all import and export issues Managing transactions in SAP Technology transfer requests, marking and transmission methods Manage export licences Import process support Maintenance of import master goods Custom issues are robust, fit for purpose, correctly implemented and adhered to across all business sites Support exports and any issues including licences Audits - Internal and external Observe and report potential violations Deliver trade and compliance advise through the business Implement corrective actions Ensure accuracy information used for import and export customs declaration Stand in for manager in absence The Person The Trade Compliance Lead based in the Birmingham area will need the following experience: ESSENTIAL Experience of export and customs compliance UK & US reg experience Experience in ITAR, dual-use trade and Export Admin Regulation licences Broad understanding of business methods such as working with Manufacturing & Quality Experience of working with suppliers Task focussed Experience working with company procedures Excellent communication skills both oral and written Strong leadership skills Ability to work in cross functional team Strong influencing skills Self starter DESIRABLE Aerospace Project management experience is desirable SAP experience Staff training experience University degree (ideally in engineering or business) IT literacy The Company Our client is a leading Aerospace global Manufacturer with a market leading product and subject matter expert.
