Poole area Trade Compliance Officer Our client are a British manufacturing organisation who specialise in Precision Engineering, and supply them to some of the world’s largest Oil & Gas companies. Trade Compliance Officer Duties and Responsibilities * The successful candidate will have proven experience within international trade compliance and will lead the development and improvements of our process within the regulations and controls required. * You will work with all areas of the business to ensure that all staff are educated and informed to make sure all global transactions are undertaken in compliance with import/export laws, regulations and controls. * Support customer facing departments with trade compliance requirements. Examples include, but not limited to, returned goods handling under IPR terms, Export License Determination and End User Documentation * Conduct regular internal audits and as a result develops: Corrective Action Plans with stake holders to ensure compliance with procedures * Develops Preventative actions with the stake holders to embed lessons learned ensure future business compliance * Ensure that trade regulations and reporting requirements are understood, and local functional procedures are embedded and adhered to by all relevant personnel with within their appropriate areas of the business Trade Compliance Officer Skills, Knowledge and Abilities * Excellent knowledge of trade compliance, such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); Export Administration Regulations (EAR); Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC); US Customs and Border Protection Regulations * Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers * (Required): A Level or equivalent experience * (Preferred): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Trade Compliance Officer
