Care Quality & Compliance Officer- Wickford- £18-20K We are currently seeking a hands-on individual that is responsible to work closely with the Registered Manager in auditing the branch against the fundamental standards as set by the Health & Social Care Act 2014. If you have a background in care work or have worked for a very fast paced Domiciliary Provider then I would really love to hear from you. For this role, you will need to be flexible and be able to adhere to a two-week rota covering shifts from 7am-10pm, Monday- Sunday. You will also need to have a Full UK Driving License and access to your own vehicle. Roles and Responsibilities Include- To work closely with the Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure the implementation and delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework through an agreed programme of audit activity. To undertake audits as directed by either the Registered Manager or the Quality & Compliance Manager. To analyse audit data and prepare written reports on the audit findings when required. To work with the Registered Manager in identifying hotspots within your locality and carryout planned and responsive spot checks on staff in the community as the business dictates, which may on occasions be outside of normal office hours. Identify ongoing practice issues which relate to possible breaches of the terms of employment. Routinely monitor daily recording through auditing a random sample of daily diary notes to ensure that recordings are appropriate and concise; if not, then address this with individual staff members. Carryout monthly medication audits ensuring that compliance is maintained and where omissions have been noted, follow up action with the relevant staff member is to take place. To take the lead on formal complaints and investigate in line with company policy as instructed by the Registered Manager. To work with the Registered Manager in liaising with contract monitoring teams from Local Authorities and CCG’s. Comply with all aspects of the Health & Safety Policy along with all operational policies and procedures as stated within the Staff Handbook. Our ideal candidate- Has had a past role in either leadership or supervisory role of staff. Had worked with local commissioning teams and has a sound knowledge around god practise and safeguarding.
